What does it mean to be an accredited overhead door dealer?
The IDEA (Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation) was formed in 1995 to improve the professional standards of the garage door dealer industry, and to recognize those industry professionals demonstrating high levels of competence and ethics.
IDEA tests garage door dealers on their knowledge of all aspects of the business, and awards an accredited status to only those dealers who can exhibit a high level of knowledge and understanding about the following aspects of the business:
• Insurance and Legal Issues
• Safety and Health Compliance
• Accounting and General Business Principles
• Residential Technical Basics
• Commercial Technical Basics
• Marketing and Sales Management
Our accreditation symbol means that we take our work seriously, that we are a credible company, and that our customers can have the utmost confidence in the abilities of our installers, our office staff, and the company owners.
